Crowned with Care is a UK-based social-impact organisation providing hair-care education, cultural identity support, and events for Black and mixed heritage young people in care.

3. Event Bookings & Participation

By booking or participating in Crowned with Care events, you agree that:

• You will provide accurate, up-to-date information when registering

• By booking on behalf of a young person, you confirm you have appropriate authority or consent

• Children and young people must be brought by a responsible adult, unless the event states otherwise

• Any safeguarding, medical, or accessibility information must be disclosed so we can provide appropriate support

• You will follow all safety instructions given by staff or volunteers

We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behaviour presents a safeguarding or safety risk.

4. Safeguarding

Crowned with Care follows UK safeguarding laws and best practice.
You agree that:

• Any safeguarding concerns will be handled according to our Safeguarding Policy

• We may collect essential information (with consent) for the safety of children and young people

• We may contact caregivers, social workers, or relevant agencies where child safety requires it

Our priority is the wellbeing and safety of young people.

5. Payment Terms (if applicable)

For paid services, products, or events:

• Payments must be completed at the time of booking unless otherwise stated

• Prices may change, but confirmed bookings will not be affected

• Refund policies are outlined within each specific programme or event listing

• If an event must be cancelled or rescheduled, we will notify you as soon as possible

We are not responsible for travel costs or third-party expenses related to cancelled events.

6. Refunds & Cancellations

Our refund policy depends on the type of service:

Free Events

• Free events can be cancelled at any time, but we request notice so spaces can be offered to others.

Paid Events or Services

Unless stated otherwise:

• Cancellations made 7+ days before the event may be eligible for a refund

• Cancellations made within 7 days are typically non-refundable

• Digital products are non-refundable due to their instant-access nature

If Crowned with Care cancels an event, you will be offered a full refund or rescheduled date.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, materials, branding, documents, and digital downloads belonging to Crowned with Care are protected by copyright.

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or distribute our materials

• Resell or share paid digital content

• Remove or alter branding or copyright notices

You may:

• Use materials solely for personal, educational, or agreed-upon organisational purposes.

8. Photography, Media & Consent

During events, photos or videos may be taken for documentation or promotional use.

We will always follow one of the following:

• Obtain explicit consent from parents/carers/social workers

• Use consent forms provided by organisations

• Avoid capturing faces where consent is not granted

Participants may opt out of photos or videos at any time.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:

• Crowned with Care is not liable for personal property loss, damage, or injury at events unless caused by negligence

• You attend events at your own risk

• We are not responsible for actions of third-party partners, volunteers, or external venues

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted website access

Nothing in this policy excludes liability where it cannot be legally limited (e.g., negligence causing injury).
